Cultural exchange tour programme flagged off

Altogether 75 students of the state who would be taking part in the Students Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL), a cultural exchange tour programme, organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) with the aim of promoting oneness among student of India, was flagged off from HIT complex, Mantripukhri on Monday.
SEIL is a trust initiated with an aim to promote brotherhood between the youth from Northeast India and the rest of the nation.
It was founded in 1965 as an initiative of the members of ABVP under the presidency of Acharya Giriraj Kishore.
Addressing media persons prior to flag-off ceremony, ABVP Manipur state secretary RK Rabichandra informed that SEIL Tour will be held from February 1 to 20, 2023 where more than 500 students from North East will tour different parts of the country.
From Manipur, over 75 delegates belonging to different tribal communities are participating, he said, adding that the delegates will visit different parts of the country during the tour.
He further informed that all the delegates from northeast will be divided into groups of 30 members each with each assigned to go to different states of the country.
This noble initiative will help the visiting students understand the cultural diversity of the country, RK Rabichandra said while informing that after the end of the tour, the delegates will be sharing their experiences to their peers and near and dear ones.
