BJP will win absolute majority, reiterates Chief Minister

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has exuded confidence that the BJP will win absolute majority in the ensuing election and go to form the next Government.
Addressing a press briefing at Nityaipat Chuthek before the end of campaigning period for the first phase of election today, N Biren continued that several party leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP National president JP Nappa have already campaigned for the first phase of election which will be held on February 28 .
Saying that these party leaders not only highlighted the development works taken up by the double engine BJP led Governments in the last five years, the Chief Minister continued that the election manifesto of the BJP was released after considering all the suggestions put forward by the people from 60 Assembly segments of Manipur.

The Chief Minister further stated that the BJP was able to bring peace in Manipur due to the support of the people.
Without the assistance the Government could not have brought peace and development in the State, he said and lauded the Prime Minister and the people of Manipur for cooperating in the fight against Covid pandemic.
Saying that the BJP has enabled the people to live with dignity and strengthen the relationship between the hills and valley people, N Biren lauded the leaders of the hill districts for extending support to the Government in the last five years.
Due to their contributions there was no bandh and blockade in the last five years, N Biren said and urged the people of Manipur to support the BJP in the election so as to keep focusing on peace and development.
He then exuded confidence that the people will give an absolute majority to the BJP so that the party could form the next Government without any assistance from other parties.
Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Y Khemchand, Works Minister Th Biswajit and BJP State unit president A Sharda Devi also attended the programme.
