Imphal, February 26 2022:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, (Progressive) has categorically claimed that the democratic election of India has many lapses.
A press release issued by PREPAK (Pro) assistant publicity secretary Th Eshingchaoba claimed that politicians who have been fantasising to bring about a change in the society while staying under the control of India for the past five years are now awake like a monster at the time of election and people have no other choice than to elect their leaders from among them.
Claiming that this 'fraudulent election' is a process to choose a leader from among these people who are involved in various forms of crime, the outfit alleged that the people, unfortunately, too are taking part in this flawed electoral system like an excited crowd.
Alleging that the majority of the candidates are instigating the people to resort to violence to gain political mileage, PREPAK (Pro) claimed that people electing such unscrupulous candidates as their leaders is akin to accepting harassment.
These candidates are spending a large chunk of money to get the title of MLA, PREPAK (Pro) claimed and alleged that about Rs 3000 crore will be spent by all the candidates of the 12th State Assembly election needlessly such as in hatching conspiracy, supplying drugs etc.
The election will end and the leaders will be chosen but the undesirable effect of all the schemings will last, the PREPAK (Pro) claimed and opined that the State could become a self reliant in terms of food production, though for a brief period, if all the candidates utilise their election expenditure on agri related activities such as in expanding irrigation system.
Claiming that certain MLAs who defected to other political parties shortly after winning the election are just shameless and don't have any determination, the PREPAK (Pro) alleged that none of the candidates are also willing to become an efficient Opposition MLA and point out the flaws of the Government.
"Being an efficient leader doesn't mean only becoming a Minister or a member of the ruling party but all the candidates seem to be only after power and as such it is evident that this democratic election is a contest to hold power and suppress the people," the outfit claimed.
Urging the people of Manipur to not have faith in this electoral system which allegedly is the source of dispute between India and Kangleipak, the PREPAK (Pro) claimed that colonial India is also attempting to depict the revolutionary movement in Kangleipak by holding elections in another sense.
Claiming that Adolf Hitler rose to power through election and such it is easy for one to gain political power if he/she has a knowledge of the art of voting and winning but what truly matter is the administrative art which comes from the heart, the outfit alleged that the election will hold no value as long as the political parties and politicians are undemocratic.
Alleging that election in India is free but not fair , the outfit reminded that the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) had allegedly termed India as a flawed democracy.
Further urging the people of Manipur to not have faith in the candidates who are only after power and elections, the PREPAK (Pro) stated that there is an option called None of the above (NOTA) for the people to express their lack of trust.
