Imphal, May 05 2014:
On the charge of defaming a girl by claiming that she was present in a doctored nude video clip and refusing to hand over the same video clip, a group of people today vandalised the office of Young Womens' Help Organisation (YWHO) .
YWHO's office located at Keishamthong Top Leirak was vandalised by a group of women coming from Yumnam Patlou at around 11.30 am today.
They not only vandalised and ransacked the office but also took away YWHO president Thangjam Shanti.
Taking Shanti to Manipur Press Club, the enraged womenfolk held a press meet.
But a ruckus ensued as Shanti and women coming from Yumnam Patlou were engaged in a heated altercation.
The situation was brought under control with the arrival of a police team from City P/S .

The root cause of the dispute is the alleged illicit affair between Huidrom (N) Nandeibam (O) Kitanbala (31) and Nandeibam Deben (50), and a purported video clip of them having sex.
Deben is uncle of Kitanbala's husband N Bahinou of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai.
It was said that the particular video clip was in the possession of YWHO.
However, Kitanbala's mother Nganbi of Yumnam Patlou said heads of both the male and female featured in the video clip were not visible.
She flatly rejected the claim that the female featured in the video clip was her daughter.
Bahinou showed the same video clip to Kitanbala repeatedly in November-December last year.
He also used to threaten to kill his wife brandishing a double barrel gun.
Suddenly on March 10 this year, YWHO sent a letter to Kitanbala asking her to come to their office.
At that time, Kitanbala was staying with her parents at Yumnam Patlou.
When Kitanbala went to YWHO office on March 12, its president Shanti showed the video clip to Kitanbala and asked if the female was not her.
Shanti also rebuked Kitanbala using strong words, Nganbi said.
In the meantime during a public meeting held at Khurai Nandeibam Leikai on March 13, all the wrongdoings of Bahinou were disclosed and he was made to tender an apology.
Even as Shanti was asked repeatedly to hand over the video clip, she adamantly refused to comply.
Enraged by the obstinacy, a group people from Yumnam Patlou today vandalised the YWHO office.
Addressing the same press meet, Shanti said that a man earlier came to their office with a complaint that his wife was having illicit affair with his uncle but she did not take names and other particulars of the man.
On hearing Shanti's statement, the crowd flocked to Shanti creating a din.
It is reported that a case is pending on the matter in Court.
