FESOK 1st foundation day : Concerns raised on pitiable state of 'Education sector' in Manipur

All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) president Wangkhemcha Shamjai maintained that 'the Education Sector in the State continues to be in a pitiable state'.
He made the above statement while speaking at the 1st foundation day celebration of Federal Students' Organisation Kangleipak (FESOK) held on the theme 'Imparting Education with Nationalism' at Manipur Press Club today.
The AMWJU president further stressed on the need of making concerted efforts to improve the education sector in the State and highlighted the importance of providing education along with a sense of Nationalism among the students.
Expressing concern over the grave issue of rampant use of drugs among the youths, he maintained that all should make best possible efforts to save the youths from the clutch of drugs and other intoxicants.

FESOK Head Office Education and Library Secretary Rikesh Mangang while delivering the keynote address said that education plays a vital role in the development of a society.
He further maintained that many educated people who are working in different fields have been contributing in the development process.
Speaking in connection to the theme of the foundation day celebration, he underscored the importance of inculcating the spirit of Nationalism while imparting education among the young minds to ensure that they strive for development through various people's welfare activities.
He also expressed that it is high time to analyse the role of politicians and student activists whether they are genuinely working for students' welfare or not.
Associate Professor Chinglen Maisnam of the Department of Economics, Manipur University; All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) president Paotinthang Lupheng and FESOK Head Office president Ningthouja Romesh also graced the occasion as the presidium members.
