Interaction & career guidance prog held

Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an interaction and career guidance programme at Siamsinpawlpi Residential School, Nghathal village in Churachandpur district on Saturday with the stated objective to help the local students from remote areas fulfil their ambitions.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Loktak Battalion took the opportunity as an initiative to address approximately 600 local students, both boys and girls of Nghathal and contiguous area.
The basic aim of the campaign was to impart knowledge on career prospects and recruitment procedure to join Armed Forces as well as private sector.
In addition, the Battalion distributed essential items to the students.
The counselling was constructive as the students could grasp important information provided to them.
Loktak Battalion also conducted interaction and motivational lecture for students appearing for NEET and presently studying at Assam Rifles Centre of Educational Excellence, Kangvai in Churachandpur district on Saturday.
Churachandpur Sector commander Brigadier Michael D'Souza interacted and motivated the students for their upcoming exam scheduled in the month of May.
The students were briefed about the security, health education and stress management while preparing for NEET examination.
They were also briefed about the nuances of the procedure for joining the Indian Armed Forces including physical and academic requirements and the selection process for various types of entries in the Armed Forces as officers and Medical Corps.
He also interacted with teaching and administrative staff of Assam Rifles Centre of Educational Excellence.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which queries raised by the students were answered.
A total of 28 girls are being trained for duration of one year for the upcoming exam.
