O Joy's workers accused of threatening ex-candidate

Former candidate in Langthabal AC N Nilakumar and his supporters on Saturday organised a sit-in protest against the act of ex-MLA O Joy's supporters, whom'fie alleged of storming his house and intimidating him for urging the local people to support MLA Karam Shyam in the 2022 state assembly election.
Interacting with media persons on the sidelines of the protest held at Singjamei Khongnang Pheidekpi, Nilakumar said that a group of people led by Oinam Thingel GP Pradhan Th Guneshwar alias Dara and former candidate Bishwanath stormed into his house on Friday and intimidated him to clarify on his claim of all the voters of the two polling stations supporting MLA Karam Shyam.
However, he did not make such claims but simply called upon the voters, who attended the November 28'meeting held at his residence, to support MLA Karam Shyam in the forthcoming election, Nilakumar asserted.
Terming the allegations levelled against him and the act of intimidating him as petty politics, he called upon all the contesting candidates and their supporters to allow the public to freely exercise their voting rights and choose candidates of their choice.
He also said that he will seek legal help if they continue with such intimidating acts against him.
