Imphal, September 02 2021:
All Manipur Nupi Marup has strongly condemned hike of LPG price by Rs 25 in August and further by Rs 25 in September.
According to a statement of Nupi Marup issued by its president M Shakhi Devi, LPG price was Rs 410 only when the Narendra Modi government came to power but it has now reached Rs 1035.Increase of the LPG price by 130 percent during Modi's tenure is akin to torture and annihilatiln of poor and middle class people.
Ujjwala scheme was introduced to fool women and take advantage for election as many women-oriented schemes had been abolished after Ujjwala scheme got implemented.
Women constitute more than 50 percent of population of the country and they also man all family chores and hence increasing LPG price is like torture and suppression of women, Shakhi said in the statement and demanded the BJP government to roll back the LPG hike order immediately.
