Dip in Covid infection : Count of 15 cases in 24 hours continues for 3rd day

Imphal, January 30 2021:
For the third consecutive day, the Government COVID-19 Common Control Room reported 15 fresh Covid cases showing signs of the pandemic being brought under control.
The 15 persons include 13 civilians and 2 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 29052 while the death toll remains at 371 with no report of any Covid related deaths in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases is 136 and the number of recovered cases has reached 28,545 improving the recovery rate to 98.25 percent.
Meanwhile, the 15 persons (fresh cases) were confirmed positive for coronavirus at JNIMS (5), Kakching (3), Babina Diagnostics (2), Shija Hospital (2), Jivan Hospital (1), Thoubal (1) and Churachandpur (1) .
Of the 15 cases, the 13 civilians including 5 males and 8 females hail from Imphal West (4), Kakching (4), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (1), Chandel (1), Churachandpur (1) and Kangpokpi (1), said the report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by Additional Director, health, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
On the other hand, 21 persons have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
While 15 of them recovered while under home isolation, the remaining 6 persons have been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres opened at SHRI (3), RIMS (2) and JNIMS (1) .
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,052 including 25,627 civilians and 3,425 Central security personnel.
The total number of recovered cases is 28,545 including 25,135 civilians and 3,410 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 136 including 125 civilians and 11 Central security personnel, said the Government Covid report.
