5th MNCA Plate Tournament : PSC, KASC, IBSA emerge victorious

PSC, Khuyathong; KASC, Khomidok and IBSA, Yumnam Leikai were able to post wins in today's league matchesofthe 5thMNCAPlate Tournament 2019-20 being organised by Manipur Cricket Association.
In the Group C League match of the tournament played at Moijing playground, PSC, Khuyathong registered a 4 wicket win against SSU Singjamei.
SSU won the toss and elected to bat first.
With skipper Deepankar producing a brilliant knock of 53 runs in 73 runs, Rohit earning 42 off 43 balls, and Gugu hitting a 20 ball 30, SSU were able to stack up a total of 195 all out in 39.2 overs.
The target however proved too small as Homenjit 26, Kenny 28, Bhomendro 38 and Diamond 43 withstood SSU bowling pressure to guide PSC to 196 for 6 in 35.3 overs.
Prasanta dismissed three crucial wickets in SSU's innings giving 38 runs in 7.2 overs while Bhomendro and Kenny managed two wickets each.
Meanwhile Pyarlal was the pick of SSU bowlers as he scalped 4 for 38 in 7 overs.
Bhomendro of PSC who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
KASC beat RCA
Meanwhile in a Group D league match held at Model Higher Secondary and Oriental College playground, KASC, Khomidok beat RCA, Lilong by 15 runs.
Winning the toss, KASC opted to bat first and posted 100 for 10 in 27.3 overs and successfully defended their target by holding RCA to 85 all out in 22.1 overs.
Prinobata 16 and Sahir 22 were the only prominent batsmen for KASC as RCA bowlers outshine the batting line up but KASC bowlers proved far more superior in RCA's innings.
RCA's Zamir Khan and Harvind shared three wickets each in KASC's innings before their batting line up fell cheaply in quick succession.
RCA's Alfash top scored for the team with 16 runs off 24 runs in the chase which saw KASC's Babu Khan removing 4 besides Farijuddin, Anjum and Chingkheinganba taking two wickets each.
IBSA bounce back
IBSA, Yumnam Leikai having lost to MUVANLAI in their previous Group, bounced back to beat UCC, Uripok Khaidem Leikai by 7 wickets today at Langthabal Public Ground.
UCC won the toss and chose to bat first.
Their decision however proved disastrous as Bablu of IBSA wreaked havoc across their batting line up before Robinson and Rajababu pulled off the big win in the chase.
Diamond made the highest 19 for UCC which could put up a total of 130 runs all out in 28.2 overs (40 overs).
Shyam, Ajit, Thomson and Furkan were other batsmen of the team who added 12, 13, 12 and 12 runs respectively.
Bablu, who later became the man of the match, had three wickets in his name while his compatriots Gopal and Delbaksh exerted pressure from the other end to finish with two wickets each.
Robinson then firmly led the chase by hitting a half century (58 in 62 balls) before Rajababu guided the team towards the win with an unbeaten 34 in 26 overs with 7 wickets left in the land.
Genis and Satish of UCC managed a wicket each in this innings in a losing cause.
