RPF condoles three dead cadres

The proscribed RPF has condoled the death of three cadres in the hands of Indian military forces yesterday.
According to a press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Bangkim, PLA's 2nd Lt Amar (Kangjam Romi), Sgt Shyam (Tongbram Sama-nanda) and Cpl Andy (Chongtham Nabanta) were going for medical treatment without any arms and they were clad in plain clothes.
They were attacked by Indian military personnel who laid an ambush a little distance away from B Bongjang village, Chandel district at around 11 am yesterday.
While two PLA cadres were killed by the indiscriminate firing on the spot, the other escaped from the ambush site but he too succumbed to bullet injuries.

2nd Lt Amar s/o Kangjam Babu and Kaboklei of Phou-bakchao Ikhai Bazar was working in the PLA Ghqs.
Earlier, he was posted in PLA's 253 Reserve Battalion before he was given the post of Signal Operator.
Amar was transferred to 252 M/Bn on June 17, 2008 before he was assigned the post of Signal Supervisor at the Ghqs.
Sgt Shyam s/o Tongbram Biren and Ibeyaima of Thanga Khunsem too worked at the PLA Ghqs.
After completing basic military training, he was posted in 253 R/Bn in March 2009 .
He was appointed quarter master in charge of the Ghqs on March 27, 2015 .
Cpl Andy s/o Chongtham Bhomendro and Udoirani of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai worked in the training command.
He completed basic military training in October 2007 .
Since then, he was posted at the Ghqs.
The three PLA combatants were polite, sincere and well-disciplined.
They were dedicated to the party and they valued freedom more than anything else.
Condolence services have been held at the party's different units, departments and stations in honour of the departed souls, Bangkim said.
The outfit also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved families, relatives and friends.
