Imphal, September 06 2015:
Fuel transportation from different oil refineries of Assam to Imphal is still mirred in ambiguities after landslides at Phesama, Nagaland blocked Imphal-Dimapur highway and Imphal-Jiribam highway became inaccessible after Barak Bridge broke down.
Nonetheless, loaded oil tankers currently stranded at Dimapur, Khatkhatti and other places have been told to move to Imphal-Jiribam highway.
Meanwhile, some loaded trucks have started leaving for Jiribam.
But there is a disagreement over fare for trans- portation of goods and the transporters may be compelled to make extra expen- ditures if they must come to Imphal along Imphal-Jiribam highway rather than Imphal-Dimapur highway.

Some oil tankers have not been leaving Dimapur till date in the hope that the highway restoration work at Phesama may be completed within a week.
On the other hand, it is reported that a convoy of empty trucks would leave Imphal for Jiribam together with security escorts tomorrow morning.
It is not clear yet how many empty trucks would leave Imphal for Jiribam tomorrow but the number of oil tankers which obtained indents from IOC is 70 .
After reaching Jiribam, the security escorts would bring back around 20 loaded oil tankers to Imphal.
Being Sunday, no fuel was allotted to retail outlets from the IOC's Chingmeirong depot today.
Still a few retail outlets who have fuel in their stocks may distribute petrol and diesel tomorrow, informed a source.
