Mortal remains of Shaolin Chandam brought home

Imphal, September 06 2015:
The mortal remains of Shaolin Chandam, who was shot dead by his American roommate at LaSalle Gardens in Hampton, Virginia on Aug 25, were brought to his home State here today.
Family members, residents of Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai where he hailed from, personnel of 164 bn TA received the mortal remains of Shaolin today at Tulihal airport at around 3.15 pm.
A TA band party, family friends, officers of TA and relatives offered floral tributes to Shaolin.

A promising tennis player, Shaolin was in the USA since 2010 after winning a US sponsored tennis scholarship.
Shaolin Chandam is the son of Major Ranjan Chandam and Chandam (O) Suniti of Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai, Imphal.
Shaolin was shot dead during an altercation in Virginia on Aug 25.He was working with a firm after completing his studies.
The Hampton Police Division has reportedly arrested 25-year-old Keenan Palmer in connection with the case.
Police investigation found that the suspect and victim got into a verbal altercation on August 25 during which the suspect displayed a firearm and shot the victim, police is quoted to have said.
