Boosting the morale of all his compeers in other Government schools, Th Raghunath Singh of CC Higher Secondary School, Imphal won the first prize for best exhibit at the 31st State Level Science Exhibition for Children, which concluded at Bengali High School here today.
Organised under the aegis of Department of Education (S), Government of Manipur since December 15, prizes were distributed to winners of the competition in various categories during the exhibition on the concluding day today.
Students who displayed outstanding models and the teachers who guided the students in this regard were also felicitated at the occasion.

In all 82 students from various schools located all over the State participated the exhibition which was held under the theme 'Science and Technology for challenges in life' .
Among the 82 participating students, 60 of them attended as exhibitors while the remaining 22 took part in the work experience camp.
Th Raghunath's model on low cost seed sowing cum fertilising machine has been adjusted as the best exhibit and was awarded the first prize.
The second prize for the best exhibit was bagged by E Sunita of Kakching Higher Secondary School, who exhibited a model on low cost grinder that also produces electricity.
Miranda Thoudam of Sainik School, Imphal won the third prize for his model on modernisation of medical plants and its applications.
In the work experience camp, Wayengbam Rickson of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, his school mate Rabindra Chongtham and W Ashokumar Meetei respectively won the first, second and third prizes in Chemistry.
In Computer science, the first top three prizes were respectively bagged by A Misban Hanif of JNV Yaralpat, Kh Adonish of Evergreen Flower School and Thounaojam Arnold Singh of Victory High School.
In the work experience camp on life science, Deepak Potsangbam of Keishamthong High School, St Khaimingthang of Rengkai Higher Secondary School and Polah of Don Bosco High, Maram won the first, second and third prize respectively.
In the written science quiz contest, Nelson Salam of Herbert School won the first prize, Parikshit Thoudam of Sainik School won the second prize while Kh Ajitkumar of the same school won the third prize.
Pujiba of Herbert School, Archana Thoudam of Sainik School and S Maricharan Devi respectively won the first, second and third prize in oral science quiz contest.
During the course of the exhibition, science drama and science seminar have also been organised.
Fifteen best exhibitors and five other students who have been selected from the exhibition would represent Manipur in the National Science Exhibition, 2011 schedule to be held at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum from Janaury 15 to 19, 2011 .
Director of Education (S) T Ranjit presided over the valedictory function which was also attended by many dignitaries.
