NCC cadets donate blood, save life

National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets extended support to a patient by donating blood in times of urgent need for blood transfusion.
A release by Defence PRO informed that the patient was admitted to a hospital and was in urgent requirement of blood for her treatment.
Her family while struggling to arrange for the required blood approached a group of NCC cadets.
The cadets namely Malem-sana Huirem, Rapam Hungyo and Loukrakpam Almax Meitei of 65 Manipur Girls Battalion and 1 Manipur Air Squadron came forward to donate blood.
Their timely contribution proved to be a lifesaving measure for the patient, who is now on the path to recovery, said the release and added that the cadets emphasised on the importance of blood donation and urged people to come forward and donate blood.
They also expressed their gratitude towards the hospital staff and the medical team for their efforts in saving the patient's life.
This act of kindness by the NCC cadets has once again highlighted the importance of community service and the impact it can have on our fellow citizens' life, added the release.
