A Sharda highlights need of making collective efforts to preserve unity, integrity of State

With an aim to strengthen the bond of love and brotherhood among the indigenous people, the 10th edition of 'Sajibu Khudol Tamba, Eegi khongul liba' programme was held today at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.
The programme was jointly organised by Iramdam Kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL) and Social Upliftment Organization.
BJP, Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi; IKAL president N Mema; CIRCA president Th Somorendro; IKAL advisor Ridimala; Tomching Range Chairman Nelson Chithung; Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha president graced as the presidium members of the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, A Sharda stressed on the need of inculcating the spirit of oneness to preserve the unity and integrity of the State, setting aside all selfish and personal motives.

She maintained that peace and harmony will prevail among the different communities of the State thereby marching towards the path of progress and development when all make collective efforts for a common cause. Further, she appealed to all the members of different communities to make best possible efforts for a peaceful and developed Manipur.
A Sharda also highlighted the need of conducting similar programmes on a regular basis to promote the indigenous culture and tradition and brotherhood among the different communities.
IKAL president N Mema while addressing the gathering, said that the programme is organised to present gifts to Manipuris in the State and beyond during the Sajibu month of Manipuri lunar calendar.
Such programmes will help in rebuilding the degrading bond of love and oneness among the indigenes considerably, she added.
