Journalists' external tour prog concludes

The 8-day external tour programme to Nepal jointly organised by DIPR, AMWJU and EGM concluded on Saturday.
The tour programme was led by AMWJU president Wangkhemcha Shamjai and DIPR deputy director T Ramesh Singh and coordinated by Indian Journalists' Union treasurer A Bhakta, AMWJU general secretary Khwairakpam Naoba and DIPR APO Kishan Longjam.
The 39-member journalists and DIPR official team visited many tourist spots including world famous sunrise view peak at Sarangkot in Pokhara, Fewa lake in Pokhara, world heritage site of Pashapatinath Temple, Devis Fall, Mahindra cave, Dabur Square and view point of Kathmandu, etc.
In a very significant and historic development for the media fraternity, a six-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Nepal Press Union (NPU) and Indian Journalists' Union (UU) for strengthening friendship between people of the two countries especially media houses.
