MDA extends gratitude to police personnel for nabbing culprits, recovering mobile handsets

Manipur Drivers' Association has extended their gratitude to the personnel of Patsoi police station and Keithelmanbi police outpost for arresting the culprits who assaulted four drivers on the night of March 29 and recovering the looted mobile phones.
The assault happened at Korouhanba Oil Pump Complex, Moidangpok.
Speaking to the media in this connection, S Babudhon Meitei, president, Manipur Drivers Association, shared that a team of the Association visited the site where the assault took place and met with the drivers in question.
Following this, they lodged complaints at Patsoi police station and Keithelmanbi police outpost.
The police personnel were able to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the stolen mobile handsets in a great show of competency and brilliance, he said.
On March 31, the Patsoi PS and Keithelmanbi police outpost arranged a meeting between members of MDA and the guardians of the young perpetrators.
After a thorough discussion and strict assurance from the guardians to guide their wards in the right path henceforth, the culprits were let off with a warning that appropriate legal action will be taken up against them if they repeat such violent act again.
As such, both the guardians and MDA have expressed their thanks towards the police personnel for recovering the mobile handsets and bringing a resolution to the issue in a peaceful manner.
