Multi-utility youth centre inaugurated

Imphal, November 13 2021:
A multi utility youth centre constructed at Hidakshungba village under Konthoujam assembly constituency in Imphal West district has been inaugurated by local MLA Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, who is also advisor of Health to chief minister, and Manipur Development Society (MDS) chairman M Asnikumar Singh as chief guest and president respectively.
The youth centre under the banner of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Multi Utility Youth Centre has provisions of Multi Gym, Smart TV, computer set with internet connection, good furniture, etc.
During the inauguration ceremony held Saturday, Dr Ranjan conveyed his gratitude to the CM and the MDS chairman for taking the initiative to set up the youth centre on priority basis.
He highlighted many pro-people welfare - oriented projects undertaken by the central and state governments during the last four years.
He also recalled the pathetic condition of his constituency before five years and the perceptible changes brought in the last few years.
In his address, Asnikumar recalled the life and paramount contributions of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya in laying the foundation of a modern India.
He highlighted the inspirational life of Pandit Deendayal and sacrifices made for the cause of nationalism.
He added that as a mark of honour and befitting tribute to his life, Manipur Development Society under the guidance of chief minister has named such centres in the state as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Multi Utility Youth Centre.
He also appreciated the co-operation extended by the people of Hidakshungba village.
The local youth also presented cultural programmes during inauguration of the centre.
