District Legal Services Authority Chandel under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) organised a cycle rally at Chandel on Friday.
The rally held as a part of NALSA's Pan India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was flagged off from Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Chandel,, said a release issued by DLSA Chandel.
It was participated by Panel lawyers, PLVs and youths of local clubs.
Moreover, DLSA Chandel under the aegis of NALSA and in association with National Commission for Women (NCW) also organised a Legal Awareness Programme at Sinadam Village Community Hall on Thursday.
It was participated by Kshetrimayum Sarankumari Devi, Advocate; Kh Jacky Lucy Lamkang, Advocate as resource persons along with ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, members of One Stop Centre, Chandel and local CSOs.

DLSA Tamenglong in collaboration with NCW on Saturday also organised a legal awareness programme on "Empowerment of Tribal Women" at Longmai Part-4 Peaceland, Noney District.
It was attended by Leonid Ahanthem MJS, Civil Judge, Junior Division Cum Judicial Magistrate First Class Noney as the presidium member while Seiram Thoithoi, Advocate and PG Thairiklung, advocate were the resource persons.
Later, labour cards were also handed over to the participants.
SENAPATI
DLSA Senapati on Saturday organised a Micro Legal Services Camp at Chief Judicial Magistrate Court complex, Senapati as a part of the Pah India Awareness & Outreach Campaign.
Three stalls each for Chief Ministergi Sotharabasingi Tengbang, Pradhan Mantri Matrix Vandana Yojana for pregnant women and sponsorship schemes under ICPS were opened at the camp.
Samom Ibjen, chairman DLSA Senapati; Ashem Tarunakumari Devi, secretary DLSA Senapati; Koshia Mao, Additional PP to Sessions Court Senapati and Marysena, Retainer Lawyer, Front Office DLSA Senapati participated in the programme.
DLSA Senapati in collaboration with NCW on Friday also organised a legal awareness programme at DRDA hall, Senapati on the theme "Empowering of Tribal Women through Legal Awareness- their rights, entitled schemes, etc" .
UKHRUL
DLSA Ukhrul under the aegis of MASLSA & NALSA and in collaboration with NCW organized a legal awareness programme on "Empowerment of Tribal Women through knowledge of various laws" at Community Hall," Hamleikhong, Ukhrul on Friday.
The program was attended by women leaders and executive members of various localities of Ukhrul, women police officers, school teachers and women working in various Government Departments including One Step Centre, Ukhrul and Kamjong.
