KKL decries Lilong Chingkham incident

Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL), Manipur has condemned the attack on indigenous Kabui tribe of Chingkham Kabui village and appealed the State to take up legal actions against the miscreants responsible for inciting violence against the establishment of a new police outpost at Chingkham Kabui village, Thoubal on November 11.In a statement released today, KKL has further appealed to the State to ensure that the police outpost will be manned by at least by 50 policemen.
The statement also added that the 9.5 acres of land belonging to the indigenous Kabui tribe of Chingkham Kabui village should remain untouched by neighbouring villagers as this land has been in possession of the Kabui brethren for more than 9000 years.
KKL vehemently condemned the attack and urged the Government to look into the matter immediately.
