Final round of SUK competitions held

Imphal, June 19 2022:
The final round of '5th Ariba Lol (Kanglei Lol) Gi Wahanthok Changdam naba' and 9th state level spelling competition organised by Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) were held at GM hall here on Sunday.
In a release, SUK state level competition organising committee convenor Th Tarun Khuman informed that 11 students competed in the final round of '5th Ariba Lol (Kanglei Lol) gi Wahanthok Changdamnaba' .
Manipur University MA 4th semester student Haorongbain Ranjan Meitei bagged the first position and MA 2nd semester student Thangjam Komolata secured the second position while Class X student of Manipur Stars Institute Mungyamba Chungkham won the third position.
Meanwhile, 16 students in Category A and 17 in Category B competed in the final round of 9th SUK state level spelling competition.
In Category A, class VII student of Tiny Tots' Unique School Thiyam Dayananda Singh, Fiorentina Mutum (class VI) of Nirmalabas High School and Tiny Tots' Unique School's Tamngariba Okram (Cl VII) won the first, second and third prize respectively.
In category B, Kendriya Vidyalaya Langjing class IX student Sylvan Kangjam, Little Flower School class X student Thoudam Thasa nam arid Catholic School Canchipur class X student Tennyson Arambam won first, second and third position respectively.
The first prize winners of the competitions will be honoured with cash award of Rs 20,000, certificate and memento each; the second prize winners will be given Rs 15,000, certificate and memento each while Rs 10,000, certificate and memento each would be awarded to 3rd prize winners.
All the finalists in the two competitions would also be given consolation prizes, Tarun Khuman informed.
