Naorem Lokeshwar, Dr Mangangcha feted with literary awards

Imphal, August 01 2022: Naharol Sahitya Premi Committee, Imphal has honoured Naorem Lokeshwar of Uripok Ahanthem Leikai and Dr Mangangcha Thoudam Achou by presenting them Telem Ningonl Atoibemma Award 2021' and Moirangthem Narendra Sana Medal 2021' respectively, during a symposium cum award distribution function held at JN Manipur Dance Academy here on Sunday.

The event was attended by Manipur University of Culture vice chancellor Prof Paonam Gunindro as chief guest, Naharol Sahi tya Premi Samiti president L Upendra Sharma as president and Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Imphal president Longjam Joychandra as guest of honour.

In his speech, Prof Pao nam Gunindro stressed the need for the different Sahitya and literature organisations to work together so as to promote the state's literary wealth, language, Khorirol and history.

Prior to the award distribution, a symposium on 'Manipuri Sahityada Sanjenbam Bhanumati' was held, which was moderated by Manipur Sahitya Parishad president Joychandra Longjam.

Manipur University's Dr Koijam Shantibala and advocate Salam Rupachandra presented papers on the topics of 'Sanjenbam Bhanumatigi Seireng Mityeng Ama' and 'Manipuri Sahitya Handok-loi Ama Oina S Bhanumati Devi' respectively during the symposium.
