Outreach prog on Azadi Ka Armit Mahotsav held

Imphal, October 24 2022:
A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 8 Saal Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan was organised by Regional Office Central Bureau of Communication (RO CBC), Imphal at Liberal College, Luwangsangbam in Imphal East district.
As a part of the programme presided over by College vice-principal Dr W Pradip Kumar Singh, Department of History assistant professor T Subhaschandra Singh delivered a detailed account on how Sana Chahi Ahum alias Prince Narendrajit fought during First War of Independence, 1857 at Chittagong against the British, as one of the resource persons.
Another resource person namely Liberal College History assistant professor Dr Kh Rita Devi also briefed the gathering on 23 freedom fighters including Maharaja Kulachandra Singh who were exiled to Kalapani after the Anglo-Manipuri War, 1891 .
Later, students were urged to download and play mobile game Azadi Quest where unsung heroes of India's freedom struggle are found.
An on the spot quiz contest was also organised and prizes distributed to the winners.
All participants were also provided certificates.
Private Registered Troupe (PRT) of RO-CBC, Imphal namely M/S Thang Ta Cultural Research Academy performed various cultural activities.
Teaching faculties of college also attended the ICOP, informed a release issued by RO CBC, Imphal programme in-charge Thokchom Anthony.
