Like Minded Group extends monetary aid

The Like Minded Group has extended monetary aid to the tune of Rs 10,000 to the family of late Laishram Tanu Devi from Haobam Marak Irom Leikai who lost her life while saving her younger sister and friend from drowning on October 22 .
According to a statement, Laishram Tanu Devi along with younger sister Joshita Laishram and her friend Lanchenbi Hijam were washing clothes along the bank of Thoubal River at Yairipok Yambem around 9 am on October 22 when Joshita Laishram suddenly fell into the river.
The two girls jumped into the river in their attempt to save Joshita Laishram's life.
Unfortunately, Laishram Tanu Devi drowned in the river after saving the lives of her younger sister and friend.

It is worth noting that Laishram Tanu was a Class X student of Slopeland Public School, Khongjom and her late father's first death anniversary was observed recently.
LMG members stumbled upon a video of Laishram Tanu Devi's mother, Ichan, narrating the unfortunate series of incidents in a video on social media and subsequently extended monetary support to the family today, marking the 71st time LMG has reached out to individuals in need.
Today's aid initiative team was led by Wangkhemcha Shamjai, Advisory Board member and included secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam, Kunjeshwor Mangsatabam, Dr Inaoba Nongmaithem, Surendra Ningomba, Boinao Maibam and Sobita Maibam.
