KSO-SH suspends stir, CHC Kpi resumes services

Kanggui, March 29, 2014:
Kuki Students' Organisation Sadar Hills has suspended its proposed 24-hr total bandh which was to be followed by indefinite economic blockade along all national highways within Sadar Hills.
The proposed agitations has been suspended in view of the ongoing Class XI and XII Practical examinations and the appeals made by various student communities as well as the Election Code of Conducts imposed on all Government institutions/departments, said Thangminlen Kipgen, President KSO Sadar Hills.
But the decision of the student body does not mean that the proposed agitations have been totally withdrawn, added the student body chief, while reiterating that the Govt and other concerned authorities should initiate all possible measures to meet the demands of the student body at the earliest.
In the meantime, the CHC at Kangpokpi (Kanggui) has also resumed its 24x7 health services from today following posting of two more doctors on the utilization basis at the centre.
In this regard, KSO Sadar Hills expressed its gratitude to Jacintha Lazarus, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati for prevailing upon the Director of Health Services, Manipur.
