Relief items distributed to vulnerable communities

Imphal, June 27 2021:
Rajesh Soraisham, a resident of Khurai, Imphal East and an alumnus of Rutgers Business School, New Jersey, USA handed over Rs 1.5 lakh to All Manipur Kidney Transplant Patients' Welfare Association (AMKTPWA), All Manipur Rickshaw Drivers & Pullers' Welfare Association (AMRDPWA) and All Manipur Cine Equipment & Handlers' Association (AMCE-HA) for assisting members of the three organisations who have been struggling due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The monetary assistance handed over on Sunday was reportedly donated by Rajesh and his supporters and donors from India and abroad.
As per a release, Rajesh launched a fund-raising campaign to help support the vulnerable and underprivileged Manipuri people affected by the unprecedented Covid crisis.
With strict compliance to Covid-19 SOPs, a small gathering was arranged at the residence of AMKTPWA treasurer Laishram Inunganba at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal where cheques were distributed to the representatives of the three organisations.
The gathering was facilitated by Mami Thawan Foundation, it added.
The release mentioned that as the pandemic crisis continues, if any individuals/organisations want to support other vulnerable communities, they can contribute to the crowdfunding campaign at https://www.ketto.org/fund-raiser/covid-19-relief-fund-for-manipur-india or can directly get in touch with the organisations supporting vulnerable populations.
