He also exuded confidence that the new party president will successfully strengthen the party from the grassroots level and manage a good relationship with party functionaries, workers and set a new benchmark.
As envisioned by the former State BJP president to have at least 40 BJP MLAs in the State Assembly, the new BJP president is also expected towards achieving the target, said the MP with optimism.
He also called on all party workers to join hands and work to their fullest under the guidance of the new leader and prepare for the next hurdle.
Speaking at the occasion, the newly appointed State BJP president Sharda Devi also shared that she is the third to hold such post in the party's history.
The National leaders may have appointed her for the presidential post as the party is very much focused on empowering women and has also been providing room for women in electoral politics since 1995, said Sharda.
The NDA Government is very much committed to develop North East States and the welfare and development schemes executed are the testimony of it, said Sharda who was of the opinion that the post was not assigned to her but to the whole Manipur women.
Youth and women are the chief support of a political party and why it would not be possible to cross the 40 seat mark when youth and women are well spirited and organised, she said while calling all the morchas to act and work responsibly right away.
Requesting all party workers and functionaries to refrain from doing anything that could court controversies and bring bad image to the party, Sharda also suggested that there should be no in-fighting within the party but fight boldly against other parties for the right cause.
