Saplings planted to commemorate death anniversaries

Imphal, June 27 2021:
International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) organised a cleanliness drive along with planting of saplings at the Lamjing Meira Sapam Robinhood Memorial at Awa Ching on Sunday.
In a release, IPSA informed that a team led by its president T Birjit along with UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam cleaned the surrounding areas and planted saplings at the memorial.
IPSA also appealed to people of the state to come and join in taking care of the memorial and participate in the 6th Death Anniversary observance of Lamjing Meira Robindhood.
Meanwhile, BJP Kisan Morcha vice president and Medical Cell convener Dr Ksh Kala and Fearless Youth Development Organisation along with BJP workers planted fruit bearing tree saplings at the campus of RAM School, Pangei to commemorate the 68th death anniversary of BJP founder Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
As a part of mass plantation programme being organised by BJP from June 23 to mark the death anniversary of Dr Mukherjee till his birth anniversary on July 6, BJP active members Mayanglam-bam Binod and Khwairakpam Iboyaima along with BJP Kakching District also planted 1000 saplings in Sugnu assembly constituency on Sunday.
Social workers M Binod and Kh Iboyaima also planted 300 saplings each at Umathel, Wangoo Mamang Sabal and Wangoo Mamei Ching, 200 saplings each at Tangjeng Khunjao and Chairel.
The programme was also attended by Green Manipur Mission brand ambassador Valentina Elangbam, BJP Kakching District president Usham Ibomcha, Mayanglam-bam Binod and Khwairakpam Iboyaima among others.
