LMG extends help to Covid positive journalist

Imphal, June 27 2021:
Continuing its philanthropic service, Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur extended monetary assistance of Rs 10,000 (Rupees ten thousand) and provided medicines and edible items to Elangbam Rameshwor, a journalist and active member of LMG from Heirok Part II.
The Group in a press release said that the assistance has been provided to help in the treatment of E Rameshwor who has been affected by COVID-19.A team led by Wangkhemcha Shyamjai, advisor of the Group and accompanied by its secretary Sorokhaibam Ojit, assistant secretary Ningombam Ranibala Leima, executive member Roshan Moirangthem and member Salam Bhajani along with other members were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the sidelines, S Ojit said that E Rameshwor along with his wife and daughter are undergoing treatment at Community Home Isolation Centre at Heirok after testing positive for COVID-19 and her eldest daughter is under home isolation.
Amid such difficult time, the Group has rendered help to provide some relief to the affected family and prayed for speedy recovery of all.
He continued that Like Minded Group is dedicated to provide humanitarian services to all those who are in need from the meagre contributions of the members and appealed to all to support the Group.
Wangkhemcha Shyamjai spoke about the initiatives of the Group and said that the LMG has extended monetary and other forms of assistance to an orphaned girl at Heirok, to the bereaved family of Kumbi who lost both his sons in a boat capsize incident and to a vegetable vendor at Khurai who was duped by a customer by providing fake currency note.
He continued that the Group will continue to extend best possible help to all those who are in need.
