Left Parties continue to protest against price hike

Imphal, June 27 2021:
As a part of the nationwide protest against rising prices of fuel and essential commodities, the left parties of Manipur viz CPI, CPI(M), RSP and AIFB carried out protest at five different locations of Bishnupur district today.
A press release by Left Parties Co-ordination Committee Manipur said that the protest was held at Oinam Bazar, Bishnupur Bazar, Moirang Thangjing Lai Haraopham, Thanga Lawai Community Hall and Kumbi.
The protesters also raised various slogans against exorbitant rise of fuel and essential commodities prices.
Secretary of CPI Bishnupur district K Bimol, secretary of Ningthoukhong Council RK yaiskul, leader of AITUC Manipur S Nilkamal, secretary of Oinam Roshan and secretary of Kumbi, Gyaneshor spoke at various protest sites regarding the hike of fuel and essential commodities prices and its impact to the general public.
Addressing the gathering, secretary of CPI Manipur, L Sotinkumar alleged that the BJP led Government is favouring the big corporate houses at the expense of the lives of the poor people.
Secretary of CPI (M) Manipur, Kshetrimayum Santa said that the BJP Government is an anti people Government who favours the business and elite classes.
He appealed to the general public to support their protest and help in alleviating the suffering of the people caused by the price hike across the country.
