Body appeals for boundary demarcation

Imphal, May 24 2022:
Informing that members of Kangchup Hill Area Protection Committee are imposing restriction on boundary demarcation between Kadangband and Ireng Naga villages, Singda Naharol Yaifa Thouni Kanglup has appealed to chief minister N Biren, who also holds the portfolio of revenue, to complete the demarcation process at the earliest.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club here on Tuesday, association advisor N Bobby said that a land demarcation process was scheduled for Tuesday following a joint meeting of the two villages along with DC Imphal West, DC Kangpokpi, Lamsang SDO and Kangchup Geljang SDO.
However, the demarcation process was stopped by some individuals, who claimed to be members of Kangchup Hill Area Protection Committee.
Maintaining that the committee has no rights or jurisdiction in the area, he drew attention of the chief minister so as to complete the demarcation exercise within the stipulated schedule, which is till May 26 .
