Health, eye check-up camps organised

UPF Manipur in association with State AYUSH Society and Ayurvedic Doctors' Association of Manipur under the aegis of National AYUSH Mission organised a one-day free health camp cum awareness programme at M Ringpam village under Machi Block of Tengnoupal district on Tuesday.
Thanking the organisers for conducting the free health camp in the village, the village chairman S Wungshungmi said that people of the area have been deprived of basic healthcare facilities and organising such a programme means a lot to the residents.
Medicines were also provided free of cost to those who attended the free health camp.
On the other hand, a comprehensive Free Eye Screening Camp was jointly organised by Leimaram Waroiching Youth Development Club, Bishnupur District and Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol at Leimaram Waroiching in Bish nupur district on Tuesday.
A total of 71 denizens were examined for eye related problems and out of which four were diagnosed for cataract and seven pterygiums cases.
According to release by Shija business development manager Lourembam Premjit Singh, doctors along with other support staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation examined the denizens.
Those detected with eye related problems will be treated under NPCB (NHM)/CMHT/PMJAY Scheme, added the release.
A one-day free mega health camp was also organised by Raj Medicity at Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district on Tuesday.
The camp provided free OPD consultation service for Obs & Gynae, orthopaedics, ENT, general medicine, gen eral surgery, paediatrics and urology.
It also provided free ECG, ultrasound and sugar test facilities.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Raj Medicity chairman and managing director Haobi jam Rajen Singh, who also announced that the hospital would continue to conduct such free health camps in the nature.
