Stray cattles irk TSA
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, May 24 2022:
The Thadou Students Association (TSA) General Headquarters has written to the State Government to address the 'alarming' problem of stray cattle on several roads.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, TSA said that cattle roaming on roads poses a serious threat to vehicle riders as animals move in random directions.
The association continued that stray cows and buffaloes roam freely on thoroughfares and interior roads and the risk of a road accident is higher at night.
Stray cattle add to traffic chaos but there is no effective law in Manipur to check it, TSA claimed and urged the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
