Blood donation camp held, planned

Imphal, June 18 2021:
In connection with the observance of World Blood Donors Day, the Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal East District Branch organised a voluntary blood donation camp at JNIMS Blood Bank on Friday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the camp, IRCS Imphal East chairman Narendra Ningomba informed that the camp was organised taking into consideration of shortage of blood during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
He also explained that donating blood is harmless and improve mental health and appealed to all to donate blood and save lives.
IRCS Imphal East Branch coordinator B Roji said that nothing can replace blood and it is needed to save precious lives.
In all 20 individuals including two women donated blood.
Meanwhile, Manipur State Bharat Scouts and Guides Covid-19 Task Force Scout will organise blood donation camp on June 21 and 22 to mark the International Day of Yoga.
In a release, Task Force Scout has urged interested donors to contact mobile number 9678979454 for donating blood during the camp.
