Imphal, June 18 2021:
The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party, Military Council-Progressive (KCP-MC-P) has clarified that the outfit has no connection whatsoever with two people who were said to have been arrested by Manipur police as members of the outfit.
According to a statement of KCP-P, the outfit and its Special Team Operation Mangal (OM) are unrelated with Yumnam Shanta Meitei of Kyamgei Heibong Mak- hong and Sanglakpam Ibotomba Sharma who were arrested by police few days back and both of them are unknown to the outfit.
The KCP-P statement released by its information and publicity secretary Maheikhomba Meitei further said that it is not new for officials of Manipur police department to brand arrested innocent people as revolutionaries and this policy has been continuing for the last few decades.
People of Keirao assembly constituency would not be surprised by such cowardice trait of the enemy but there is need for proper investigation by a special team of the outfit against the two people arrested by police.
The statement further said that the chief minister should look into the arrest of innocent people which seems like dirty politics and should not support such police action.
Manipur police department should also understand that there is no other faction in KCP other than KCP (Noyon) and KCP-MC (progressive) and the outfit would not remain silent when arrested innocent people are falsely branded as KCP-MC (progressive) members in future and the involved police officer would be declared as member of the outfit, it said, adding that home department should stop playing 'magic by putting KCP in their pocket' .
