LFS alumni extend support to kid cancer patient

Imphal, June 18 2021:
Little Flower School (LFS), Imphal 2011 Matric Batch has come forward to extend support to a 4-year-old boy who is suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (blood cancer) .
The kid cancer patient is from Kakching Turel Wangma Manarei Pareng.
He was diagnosed with blood cancer about 3 months ago and has been undergoing chemotherapy at RIMS Hospital, Lamphelpat.
Since his father works as a mason, the family has been having a hard time funding his medical expenses, especially in this ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
LFS 2011 Matric Batch came across a Facebook post sharing the plight of the family, following which the members extended a monetary sum of Rs 40000 to the family.
The money was handed over to the family by Jilima Yengkhom through the boy's uncle on Thursday.
Speaking in this regard, Jilima said that the Batch set up a fundraiser via WhatsApp after coming across the boy's Facebook post.
She then appreciated all those who generously donated to the fundraiser.
The boy's uncle said that following his nephew's diagnosis, the family has been under huge stress on how to fund his medical expenses as they have no means of earning due to the pandemic.
As such, he appreciated LFS 2011 Matric Batch for extending help to his nephew's family.
