DoNER sanctions 41 projects under HADP in state

Hill Area Development Programme (HADP) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) was launched on pilot basis for two years - 2018-19 and 2019-20 in Tamenglong (now Tamenglong and Noney) district of Manipur.
DoNER minister G Kishan Reddy in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Thursday, said that under HADP, DoNER ministry has sanctioned 41 projects worth Rs 90 crore.
There is no plan to expand the scope of the programme.
The policy objective of the programme are catered to under other schemes of the ministry.
The projects include foot path suspension bridge (Rs 1.22 crore), establishment of Cold Storage Chain at Tamenglong (Rs 0.47 crore), improvement of Tamenglong District Hospital approach road (Rs 0.14 crore), Water Supply Scheme at Tamah, Tamei sub-division (Rs 7.09 crore), Tea Processing Unit at Tamenglong HQ (Rs 0.55 crore), establishment of Bamboo Processing Centre at Tamenglong HQ (Rs 0.88 crore), development & promotion of Eco Tourism Centres at Zeliad Lake & Tharon Cave (Rs 3.40 crore), purchase of Hospital Equipment for Tamenglong District Hospital (Rs 1.91 crore), telemedicine at District Hospital and three PHCs (Rs 0.02 crore), construction of Pack House at 24 locations (Rs 0.75 crore), fruits and vegetables processing plant at Tamenglong (Rs 0.62 crore), spice processing unit at Tamei (Rs 0.62 crore), fruits and vegetables processing plant at Azuram (Rs 0.62 crore), teachers' quarters (barrack type) at Langmei Higher Secondary School, Tamei & Eklavaya Model Residential School, Tamenglong (Rs 0.73 crore), girls' hostel at Langmei Hr Sec School, Tamei & Eklavaya Model Residential School, Tamenglong (Rs 1.15 crore), transit/working hostel for district level officers at Tamenglong, Tamei & Tousem sub-divisions (Rs 2.15 crore), convention centre/training hall at Tamenglong (amount withheld), construction of women's marketing complex at Tamenglong DHQ (amount withheld), rural water supply scheme at Nungba sub-division HQ (Rs 5.36 crore), rural water supply scheme for Haochong sub-division HQ and adjoining areas (Rs 3.73 crore).
Other projects include upgradation of connecting roads under Noney DHQ (Rs 2.38 crore), suspension bridge over Ijei river, Nung-nang village (Rs 0.63 crore), suspension bridge over Irang River at Tamlok village (Rs 0.38 crore), suspension bridge over Chengthuitok River at Sempat Naga village (Rs 0.20 crore), suspension bridge over Barak river at Tuiphai village (Rs 0.11 crore), transit hostel cum quarter for government employees/doctor/teachers at Nungba HQ (Rs 0.98 crore), transit quarter/hostel at Nungba Higher Secondary School (Rs 0.55 crore), transit hostel cum quarter for government employees/doctor/teachers at Noney HQ (Rs 0.95 crore), transit hostel cum quarter for government employees/doctor/teachers at Haochong (Rs 0.96 crore), transit quarter/hostel at Khangsillung Higher Secondary School, Khoupum (Rs 0.72 crore), transit hostel for doctor and nurses at PHC, Noney (Rs 0.39 crore), construction of Nungba PHC operation theatre (Rs 0.22 crore), construction of market shed with storage at Lukhambi (Rs 0.68 crore), construction of chilli/spices processing centre at Khoupum under Integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.62 crore), construction of pack house at 20 places under Integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.62 crore), construction of bamboo shoot processing centre at Noney under integrated Horti/ Agri project (Rs 0.36 crore), construction of incubation centre under integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.27 crore), construction of feed plant at Lukhambi under integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.35 crore), tea processing centre under Integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.47 crore), Sustainable Agro Livestock Technology (SALT) in four model villages (Rs 2.41 crore), and engaging local vibrant NGO for community mobilisation and institutional building under Integrated Horti/Agri project (Rs 0.35 crore) .
