Governor enquires condition of accident survivors

Imphal, December 22 2022:
Governor La Ganesan on Thursday visited the injured students and teachers of Wednesday's accident at Long-sai Part-III (Tubung) in Noney district and enquired about their health conditions.
After the fatal accident, they have been admitted and undergoing treatment in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Raj Medicity in Imphal.
The Governor visited Raj Medicity where he met all the injured students and teachers one by one and enquired about their health.
He expressed solidarity with them and also prayed for speedy recovery.
La Ganesan also met with family members of the students and consoled them.
He asked the doctors and hospital administration to treat the accident patients with utmost care.
Later, talking to media persons, the Governor said that it was the most unfortunate accident that claimed many precious lives and injured many students, adding that he prayed for the departed souls and for speedy recovery of those injured.
In the meantime, Genesan informed that most of the injured are out of danger.
According to Raj Medicity, of the total 32 injured which were admitted in the hospital, 2 died on Wednesday night, 6 are in ICU and 8 are in the medicine ward.
The remaining injured students are out of danger.
Later, the Governor went to RIMS where he met all the injured students and enquired about their health.
He expressed his grief and sadness over the unfortunate accident.
Doctors have also been instructed to give all possible need and care until their full recovery.
He wished all the injured students a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Akham Joykumar Singh, chairman BOSEM, Dr Sapam Mangijao Singh, secretary BOSEM, and their team also visited RIMS Hospital and met the injured students of the unfortunate tragic bus accident.
The team interacted with parents of the injured and wished their wards a quick recovery.
They also donated a sum of Rs 50,000 as an aid to the injured students.
As per RIMS, of the total 7 admitted on Wednesday, one is in ICU, three in Ortho ward and another three are in Surgical ward.
They are stable.
Meanwhile, All Tribal Employees Association of RIMS, Imphal presented a gift to DDA (admin) and HOD of Radiation Oncology on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.
The association distributed gifts to all the cancer patients who are undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital.
The association also wished them a long and healthy life.
