Governor extends healing balm to survivors

Governor La Ganesan today visited the students and teachers who sustained injuries in the tragic accident that took place at Longsai Part-III (Tubung) along Old Cachar Road in Noney district and enquired about their health conditions.
After the accident, they have been undergoing treatment in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Raj Medicity.
The Governor first visited Raj Medicity where he met all the injured students and teachers one by one and enquired about their health.
He expressed solidarity with them and also prayed for speedy recovery.
La Ganesan also met family members of the students and consoled them for their unbearable pain and sorrow.
He asked the doctors and the hospital administration to give maximum care and support to all the victims.

Later, talking to newsmen, the Governor said, it was the most unfortunate accident that claimed many precious lives and injured many students.
He said, he prayed for the departed souls and also prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
Most of the injured are out of danger, he added.
Later, the Governor went to RIMS where he met all the injured students and enquired about their health.
He wished them speedy recovery and asked the doctors and hospital administration to provide best medical care to all the victims.
Hospital sources said, of the total seven admitted yesterday, one is in ICU, three are in Ortho ward and another 3 are in Surgical ward.
They are stable, the sources added.
According to Raj Medicity, of the total 32 injured who were admitted in the hospital, two had expired last night, six are in ICU and eight are in the medicine ward.
Remaining injured students are out of danger.
Meanwhile a team of BOSEM officials led by Chairman Akham Joykumar Singh and Secretary Dr Sapam Mangijao Singh also visited the injured students of the tragic bus accident at RIMS today.
The team interacted with parents of the victims and wished speedy recovery.
They also donated a sum of Rs 50,000 towards treatment of the injured students, informed a press release issued by RIMS Media Advisor N Phillip.
