School Building inaugurated

A newly constructed building of Aimol Chingnunghut Government High School was inaugurated by D.Korungthang, MLA of 42-Tengnoupal A/C at Chingnunghut Village in Chandel District today.
The inaugural function of the school building, which was constructed under RMSA 2011- 2012 at an estimated cost of Rs.47 Lakhs was graced by MLA Korungthang as Chief Guest; Lhukhosei Zou, Chairman of ADC, Chandel as Guest of Honour and Cho.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Korungthang questioned why can't the Government Schools teachers who are more qualified and well paid than those in private schools produced good students while teachers working in private school can do so, and added that it is because of the dedication and hard work of the Private schools teachers.
Therefore, Government School teachers should dedicate and commit themselves to bring quality education and produce good students, he exhorted.
Lhukhosei Zou pointed out that for smooth functioning of Government schools, the role and responsibility of Village Chief and school management Committee as well as the villagers is not any lesser than that of the Teachers.
It is not the duty of the teacher alone to run the school.
It is also the duty and responsibility of the local people to keep the school functioning smoothly.
Therefore, co-operation is much needed for smooth functioning of the school, so that we can get the benefits of Free and Compulsory Education under Right to Education Act, he added.
Among others, the inaugural function of the school building was also attended by S.Tongpao Mate, Executive Member of ADC Chandel, Staffs of ZEO Chandel, Village Chiefs, Church leaders and civil organization leaders.
