Hair clip pin removed from girl child

Imphal, October 22 2022:
A team of doctors led by RIMS Department of Respiratory Medicine head Prof Sunanda Haorongbam successfully removed a foreign body (Hair Pin) from girl child of Tengnoupal which had impacted her left main bronchus.
Celina Lhingmeiting (8) of Moreh St George Church, Tengnoupal was referred from Moreh for removal of foreign body in the lungs to RIMS, Imphal.
She was referred with complaint of productive cough for the past two months associated with one episode of haemoptysis and fever.
The patient when radiologically tested, a foreign body (Hair Pin) was found impacted in the left main bronchus.
She was then admitted in the Respiratory Medicine Ward, RIMS on October 13 and bronchoscopic removal was done successfully on October 18, said a release by RIMS media advisor N Phillip Singh.
The bronchoscopic removal was carried out with the help of anaesthesia team and nurses.
The patient party thanked the team of doctors and nurses of the said department, RIMS, for their service in their time of need, added the release.
