N Biren inaugurates Gwarok Mahadev temple

Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that necessary steps will be taken up to transform worship places and other holy places, including Kaina, Gwarok, Thangfeng Nung temples in Yairipok, into tourists spots at the earliest.
This was stated during the inaugural ceremony of the newly built temple of Nongpok Tarang Saraba (Gwarok Mahadev) at Yairipok Kekru, Thoubal district today.
Organised by Kekru Ideal Progressive Committee, Chief Minister N Biren graced the occasion as the chief guest while CAF & PD Minister Karam Shyam attended as the president and MAHUD Minsiter Th Shyamkumar as dignitaries among others.
Stating that repairing, improving and constructing ancestral and holy places/temples is one of the responsibilities of the citizens, CM underlined the need to trace the roots of one's ancestors to be independent from any entity.
He said that all 36 holy places related to Puwari have been identified while adding that Awang Koubru Ashuppa, Ibudhou Thangjing and Khana Chaoba Wangbrel have been included in the programme for necessary repair and improvement in the infrastructure.
