Training programme on fruits, vegetables processing concludes

The five-day training programme on fruits and vegetables processing organised jointly by Intellisome Knowledge & Skills Centre (IKSC) and Kha-Ningomthong Women Welfare Association at Shiv Mahadev Mandir, Kha-Ningomthong concluded today.
Bashikhong Zilla Parishad Member Chirom Jasobanta (Romeo); Pradhan, Thongju Part I Thongbam Lata; Member H Shanti; MIDC chairman Pangabam Loken; IKSC director H Dayanidhi and IKSC trainer Premila Thiyam attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Giving key note address at the occasion, Ashem (O) Somila of Kha-Ningomthong Women Welfare Association said that the training programme participated by 28 women was held under the instruction and assistance of Works Minister Th Biswajit.
She said that the women trainees were given training on how to prepare processed fruits and vegetables products like candy, pickle, squash, jam, jelly and sauce.
She said that the training imparted to the women would facilitate sources of livelihood of their families.
At the end of the programme, the dignitaries distributed certificate to the women trainees.
