State logs two new cases, recoveries

Imphal, September 29 2022:
After two consecutive days of no new cases, the state on Thursday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 155 samples tested in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.
Thursday also reported two recoveries after which the number of active cases remains static at 11 out of which 10 are in home isolation.
There are 38 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,809 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 36 D-type and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2350 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,43,358, out of which 13,25,149 had received the second dose and 2,66,125 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49817), Imphal East (32035), Thoubal (10293), Churachandpur (11285), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9978), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3366), Kakching (6976), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1212), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
