Registration open for CRTs scholarship scheme

Imphal, September 29 2022:
Online registration for the Chief Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Civil Services Aspirants 2022-23 will be opened from Friday onwards.
According to a notification issued by the department of university and higher education, 500 candidates will be selected for attending coaching classes for Civil Services Examination to be conducted by ALS Satellite Education Private Limited, New Delhi in collaboration with the department of higher education under the scheme.
Selection will be done on merit list and there will be reservation as per state government's policy.
The first 200 candidates will get 100 per cent scholarship and physical/(ace-to-face class at the State Academy of Training while the remaining 300 will be provided online/VSAT coaching classes.
Moreover, the scheme will provide 75 per cent scholarship to those in 201-250 ranks, 60 per cent scholarship to in 251-300 ranks, 50 per cent to those in 301 400 ranks, and 40 per cent to those in 401-500 ranks.
Graduates who are permanent residents of Manipur and have attained the age of 20 years or above on or before August 1, 2022 are eligible to apply.
Those who have already availed the scholarship in 2021-22 (under any slab), working professionals or those pursuing graduation courses are not eligible to apply.
Registration will be free of cost and the last date of registration is October 10.Selection test will be conducted on October 16 and results declared on October 19 while class will commence from November 2.The selection test will be of two hours and will be based on current affairs and NCERT books.
