IPAK strives for indigenous people's welfare

Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) extended monetary aids and hair salon kit to three persons who are into the hair cutting profession to support their families.
The aids were handed over to the individuals concerned during a simple function held at the office of IPAK located at Keishampat.
The above initiative is being taken up as a part of the 'Save Indigenous People' campaign launched by IPAK to protect the indigenous communities of the State and work for their upliftment.
Speaking in connection with the campaign, IPAK president, Ksh Somorendro informed the media persons that the 'Save Indigenous People' campaign was launched during the 9th foundation celebration of IPAK held on September 7 last.

He further assured to extend best possible help to those indigenous people who have taken up jobs which used to be done by outsiders earlier.
During the programme, three e-rickshaw women drivers who could not attend IPAK foundation day celebration were presented identification papers, gifts and a shawl each.
Today's programme was also attended by advisors of IPAK H Ibotombi Khuman and Sapamcha Jadumani and ACOAM Lup Kangleipak president, Soraisam Sanjit as the presidium members.
