Manipur Youths' Cultural Organisation observes 23rd foundation day

The 23rd foundation day celebration of Manipur Youths' Cultural Organisation (MYCO) was held today at the rehearsal hall of MYCO at Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai.
The event was graced by Chairman of Ranganiketan, Ajit Das; MYCO president, M Ibopishak; Khenjonglang Director, Dr S Thaninleima; Retired Commandant NSD, SSB, Thangjam Tomba Singh and intending candidate of 10-Top Naoriya Zilla Parishad, Jiban Khundongbam as the presidium members.
Presenting the keynote address, MYCO secretary, Ranjit Ningthouja said that Manipur Youths' Cultural Organisation was founded in 1999 with a vision to promote emotional integrity through the medium of art and culture in the State which is inhabited by different communities.
Expressing that many youths are actively involved in promoting various art forms of the State, he said that such involvement has contributed in establishing a unique identity of the State.
Stating that MYCO has been able to win various awards in different theatre competitions in the past few years, he appealed to the young artists to continue to work with dedication in future as well to gain more accolades.
Eminent theatre personality, Padmashri Naba Wareppa and Shumang Leela State awardee, Ph Gunachandra Sharma were honoured by presenting simple gifts during the programme.
An excerpt from the new production of MYCO's play 'Mou Mathel' was also performed today.
