NYK Bishnupur oganises Yuva Samvad 2022

A District Level Youth Festival- Yuva Samvad 2022 was held today at Kwasiphai in Bishnupur under the theme, "Fundamental Duty is more important than Fundamental Rights for bringing development" .
The festival was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Bishnupur in association with Kwasiphai Youth Volunteer Organisation (KYVO) .
Youth Affairs & Sports Minister, Govindas Konthoujam; Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram; Nachou Gram Panchayat, Zilla Member, Thiyam Dilip Singh and Maisnam Dhaneshwor Singh, president KYVO attended the festival as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Govindas Konthoujam stated that neglecting the fundamental duties is akin to infringement of others fundamental rights.
The Minister continued that there is nothing the youth cannot do to bring about development as the future belongs to them.
Stating that the unique fabric of the country is its unity in diversity, he informed that the State Government has proposed Tamil Nadu as a pairing State for Manipur for future youth cultural programmes.
"Representatives from each and every district of the state will be included in such programmes to foster an inclusive growth & development as envisioned by the Chief Minister", he added.
Lourembam Bikram stated that India has the largest youth population in the world which either implies that the country has a large productive population or that the future will be compromised, if not channelized in the right direction.
The DC encouraged youth to identify their talents and nurture them with utmost discipline and dedication.
He also called upon the youth to participate in nation-building and abstain from substance abuse & anti-social activities as it has dire consequences.
Competitions on Painting, Mobile Photography, Declamation, Folk Dance and District Youth Convention were the major highlights of the one day festival.
Several distinguished personalities from various fields were also felicitated as "Youth Icons" on the occasion.
