State logs four fresh cases, two recoveries

Imphal, September 22 2022:
The state on Thursday reported four new cases of Covid-19 from four districts out of 316 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.
The four fresh cases (3 male & 1 female) are residents of Churachandpur (1), Imphal West (1), Kakching (1) and Tengnoupal (1) districts.
Thursday also reported two recoveries while the number of active cases rose to 26 out of which 17 are in home isolation.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
No death case was reported on Thursday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,800 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 408 D-type and 56 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 973 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,41,321, out of which 13,21,399 had received the second dose and 2,61,584 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49812), Imphal East (32034), Thoubal (10293), Churachandpur (11285), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9978), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3366), Kakching (6976), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1211), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong.(1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
